Farmers shouldn’t use the chemical ractopamine on pork for three reasons.
First, using ractopamine is harmful to use. According to the Taipei Times, 100 peaple developed symptoms like raising heartbeat, dizziness and vomiting bodies after eating pork with ractopamine. In my opinion, ractopamine will accumulate in our bodies and even lead us to death.
Second, ractopamine is not banned in only 24 countries, but these countries can bring huge influences to the rest of the world. More than 160 countries will lose their competitions, including Taiwan. I think that most people will buy pork with ractopamine because it is cheap. It would be unfair for Taiwan’s pig farmers if U.S pork with ractopamine were allowed to be imported to Taiwan.
Third, because ractopamine really harm our bodies, we won’t buy any pork and won’t eat out in restaurants. It might influence Taiwan’s economy. I believe that if we ban the ractopamines from those greedy medical companies, we can protect our economy and our health.
In conclusion, because of the three reasons discussed above, farmers shouldn’t use the chemical ractopamine on pork.

Star turtle is a good choice to have as a pet for three reasons. First of all, they walk quietly. It is good for tou to sleep, and you may get along well with your neighbors. Also, they are extrovert. They don’t bite people and are not afraid of strangers. Second, they are dependable animals. Sometimes, they like to sleep with you. There will be one thing beyond your expectations; they are soft-hearted enough to be your intimate friends. But there is a little disadvantage; you have to buy a glass turtle tank, some sand, and a warning stone, which will cost you much money. Third, the star turtle is a vegetarian. You just feed it with vegetables without water; too much water will kill it. It is because that it is a kind of land turtle. In short, choose a star turtle, you will not only get a pet, but also have a friend.

How to Make a Cup of Coffee (by Stina)

How to make a cup of strong coffee? It's easier than your imagine. First, you should boil a kettle of water and put some coffee powder into a cup. Depending on your flavor preferences, maybe 3 to 5 spoons of coffee. After the water boils, pour the hot water into the cup. Then, use a teaspoon to stir some sugar and hot milk into the black coffee. Finally, a cup of strong coffee is done. Now, have a wonderful tea-time!

This is the office of a famous businessman. There is a book shelf from the floor to the ceiling. It's full of books and wooden in dark brown. In the middle of the room is a large, clean table. Behind the table, there is a big, wheeled office chair. At the Back of the chair, there is a big, polished window, and there are curtains on the two sides. In front of the table, there is a circular rug on the floor. The businessman put two comfortable-looking expensive sofas on the big rug. What a wonderful office! I think whoever comes inside will feel comfortable and valued.

Here is how to get to my house from Taipei Station. First, take MRT blue line to Kuntang Station and get out at exit one. Then, cross the zebra crossing to MaC’Donald’s and transfer to bus number 284, small 3, or511 to the flower market. Third, get off at the Hu-Kang market station and go toward Starbucks, then turn right. Keep going until you are in a T-intersection and turn left. Next, cross 3 traffic lights, then you can see a community with pink and white houses, that’s where I live. After all, call me, and I will come down stairs to pick you up. See you later!

There is a good restaurant in Taiwan named Tao Ban. It is a Japanese restaurant.
First of all, the atmosphere there is fantastic. They will use curtains to separate each table so that you won’t think that others are talking too loudly. They have a special service, candlelight dinner, if you want to have candles on the table.
Second, the meals in the restaurant are big, and ingredients are fresh. The size of portions is good and reasonable. When you go to that restaurant, you are advised not to eat lunch that day because you always feel very full after having dinner there.
Then, their service is really nice. Waiters and waitresses there are very interesting and always smile at you. They will take a photo if you have a birthday party there. They not only send the photo to you but also give you a pretty photo frame for present.
Tao Ban restaurant is the best choice place to have a party.

Los Angeles is a great city to visit. First, the people over there are friendly to visitors. For examples, you can communicate with them easily whether your English is poor or not. Next, its geographical location is near the Pasific Ocean, so that it has a great whether, a lot of seafood, and long beautiful beaches. Most importantly, there are many places you can have fun in Los Angeles. You may go to lands such as Disney Land, Sea World, and Universal Cinema.

聚園 Restaurant is a good place to spend dinner time for three reasons. First of all, the restaurant offers great Chinese food. The food they offer has a wide variety, and the food is quite delicious. For example, Beijing Ducks, one of my favorite food. They will cook it using three different ways.
Second, 聚園’s service is good, too. The chef is extremely good at cooking, so the dishes come out from the kitchen quickly. You do not need to wait for a long time. The waiters and waitresses have Taiwanese passion with lots of energy even if they are not young.
Third, the price is reasonable. For example, if there are five people it cost NT$1000 an average.Indeed, you must make a reservation or go there earlier because people always make a long queue in front of 聚園’s door.

There is a good restaurant near Taipei Main Station called Magic Cook.I consider it as a great restaurant for these reason.

Parrots are the greatest pets for three reasons. First of all, parrots are good at imitating. They imitate every sounds they usually hear. For example, phone rings, door bell, and the simple words or sounds from you. They can sing songs if you teach them. Second, parrots are smart, they will find ways to communicate with people. They learn your tones and your habit of speaking. Then use the words and sounds they have learned to describe their needs. They like to play tricks on other animals, especially dogs which are very obedient. Parrots can even talk to you, if they have learned enough words. You talk with them just like you talk to a child. My godfather is a kind person. I met him when I was a baby. He likes children very much. He never get mad even when I cry a lot, or keep making all kinds of noises. He sometimes takes me to eat noodles. He always buys some eggs and peel off the egg sell. Then he eats all of the yolk, and leaves the egg white for me. He said that yolk is bad for children, it will made me choke. He has one daughter and two sons, they are all marrid. The oldest son has a daughter, the second son has a daughter, too. His daughter is the youngest of the family, she will give birth to a child at the end of December. She said that she wants a baby girl, but we still don't know the sex of the baby. My godfather is very happy that he has many grendchildren. He loves them just like he always loves me.

There is a good barbecue restaurant in Taipei called"Gen Yaki". "Gen Yaki" is a great place to visit for three reason. First of all,the price is reasonable. For example,the course of food includes the appetiser,drinks,the main dish and desserts. Then there are many varieties of choices on the menu,and the size of portions is big enough.Second,food is fresh and delicious. For instance, the restaurant makes good use of different parts of beef. In particular, the quality of food is excellent and fresh,and the meat is tender. Thirdly,the restaurant is clean and the service is good. For example, the decorations of the restaurant is Japanexe style.The service is perfect that the waiters serve the dish fast and keep the smile.

There is a good restaurant in Taipei called 陶板屋. I love it for three reasons.
Firstly, the quality of food is good. Of course, the food is delicious. The arrangements of food are attractive. When you see the dish, you’ll feel hungry. Besides, the ingredients are fresh.
Secondly, the service is nice. Waiters and waitresses are kind and friendly. They are always smiling when they serve. They don’t make you feel uncomfortable.
Lastly, the price is reasonable. For example, the combo has an appetizer, a soup, bread, the mains, cake and tea or coffee. It costs 500 NT dollars and an addition service charge of 10%. It’s not too expensive.
This restaurant is worthy to go to with friends or family. When you want to go to a good restaurant, that is a good choice.

Firstly, it’s harmful for human’s body. According to the Taipei Times, using the chemical will give people some symptoms such as racing heartbeat, dizziness, and headache, there is even one patient who has died.
Secondly, Taiwanese people have different diet habits than people from other countries. We eat animal’s internal organs, which might contain traces of the chemical, so it’s dangerous for Taiwanese people. I n my opinion, we should pay more attention to what we eat.
Lastly, I think using the ractopamine is against the natural rules. Human beings always do something for their benefits, but they don’t think about the natural rules. If we use the chemical on cattle, they will be changed. Nobody knows what will happen in the future. Maybe not only cattle, but human’s genes will also be transformed. What a big calamity that will be! I think we can’t fight with nature and we should follow the natural rules.
In conclusion, because of the three reasons discussed above, farmers shouldn’t use the chemical ractopamine on pork.

I think that Taiwanese eat pig's intestines so the symptoms will be more severe than other countries.Second, use the chemical ractopamine on pork will affect Taiwan's economy. In my view, if Taiwan does not ban ractopamine, it will cause many economic problems. When the U.S. pork come into Taiwan, many Taiwanese will buy the cheaper U.S. pork, and this will discriminate against the local pig farmers.Taiwan's restaurant will use the U.S.pork, and many Taiwanese will not eat out anymore. As a result, Taiwan's economy will go down very soon. Third, the ractopamine was banned before. I believe that Taiwan's government shouldn't be "U.S.-oriented." We shouldn't change our polices on banning ractopamine although the American pig farmers use ractopamine. There is a good restaurant in Taipei called “草山夜未眠”. You must visit the place for the reasons as follows.
At first, the location is great because it’s on the top of Yung-Ming mountain. There are seats outside the restaurant, so you can see the fantastic night view of the whole Taipei City, such a nice place is very hard to find.
Secondly, the atmosphere there is very good. There are candles on each table, and the trees are decorated with many twinkling lights. When the wind breezes, you will feel very comfortable, and you wouldn’t want to move anymore.
Next, there is variety of choices on the menus. You can either have coffee in small groups or have a big dinner with your family. And you can try many kinds of delicious cuisine, cocktail, and beer there.
Finally, the price is reasonable. On average, each person costs about 200~600 NT.
If you are tempted by the restaurant, go now and don’t miss it!

My classroom is on the fourth floor. Outside my classroom is a long and broad hallway with a washstand. Get into the backdoor, at first, you will see my desk in the middle back of the classroom, and there is a huge bulletin board where I show students’ works and assignments on the back wall. Facing the platform, on the left hand side, under the windows, there is a space to store cleaning tools, like broom, mop, dustpan, bucket, and several trash cans for recycling items. Reading area is around the back corner. In the middle space, 36 units of desks and chairs are arranged for 6 groups, so students can discuss by groups in the classes. On the right hand side, next to the windows, there are 36 drawers arranged in ranks for the students. Everyone has his own drawer to put things that they don’t want to take home. It’s a small classroom, but it’s always full of happiness.

Mini dogs are the best pets for three reasons. First of all, mini dogs are very smart. You only spend little time to teach them commands, and they can follow your orders well. Their fur is too short for fleas to hide in, so you don’t need to wash their bodies everyday, and the house is never filled with bad smell. Third, mini dogs are very small. It’s easy to get to my house if you follow these simple directions. First, take the MRT from Taipei Main Station to Dingxi Station. Go through the ticket barrier, and take the escalator to go up-stairs, then get out at exit 1. Second, turn left after getting out the MRT station, walk along the road to the first intersection, and then you will see a coffee shop right on the corner. Third, cross the street to the opposite side, then go through the crosswalk to the coffee shop. You can usually see several people waiting for a shuttle bus in front of the shop, even though there isn’t a bus stop. Next, get on the bus; the shuttle bus comes to pick up residents in my community home every half an hour. You have to pay 5 dollars to the driver. There are no other stops during the route, so the bus is driven straight to my community, and it just takes you about 10 minutes to arrive there. After that, get off the bus, you will see many magnificent buildings. Get into the splendid lobby, the security officers must ask you to put your name on a register, and then inform me of your coming. I will go down-stairs to pick you up as soon as I can, but please wait for me for a while; I live on the18 floor, and I have to walk through the huge garden. Finally, you will arrive at my house. Welcome to my house !

This is the office of a famous businessman. On the left side, there is a large bookcase and full of books. Next to the bookcase, there's a polished French window with a pair of floor-length curtains. The view from the window of the office is stunning. In front of the window, there is a wheeled office chair and a big wood desk. There are some pens in a pen holder, and a telephone on the desk. In front of the desk, there is a soft white rug on the floor. On the rug, there are two comfortable red-arm chairs. Finally, you can see two bright professional office lights on the ceiling. This is a magnificent office with fragranced air. The owner of this office is probably an organized and powerful person.

Describing a Room ( by Irene)

This bedroom belongs to a teenage boy. There is a cap on the top shelf of the closet. Under the cap, there are T-shirts and wrinkly sweaters. The quilt on the bed is terribly scattered, there is even a dirty basketball on it. Many items are put on the floor at random, like half-eaten and moldy cookies, fishing rod, radio, and broken tape. There is an electric guitar leaning against the bed. You can see a large picture on the wall at the back of the room. The picture shows a running soccer athlete. Next to the picture is a chest of drawers. There are books and a lamp above the top of the drawer, moreover, a yucky smelly sock is hung on the top of the lamp. The top drawer is opened and crammed with clothes, also two towels are hung outside the bottom drawer. This room is messy enough, so you can understand how lazy the owner is !
