Farmers shouldn't use the chemical ractopamine on pork for three
reasons. First, the ractopamine can damage consumers’ health. For example, people who eat pork with ractopamine have many symptoms such as racing heartbeat, dizziness, muscle cramp, high blood pressure and so on. A patient has even died from eating pork with ractopamine.
According to the” Taipei Times ” ,the ractopamine is banned in more than 160 countries. It means that most of the countries don’t allow using chemicals in food.
In my view, if the government bans pork with chemical, they need to make rules to prevent economy imbalance. Because when consumers don’t eat pork ,they might have beef…etc indtead.
In conclusion, because of the three reasons discussed above, farmers shouldn’t use the chemical ractopamine on pork.
