Examples for making compound sentences

1. A good husband comes home from work in a cheerful mood, and…
- he always helps his wife prepare dinner.
- he always does the housework.
- he always helps his wife in the kitchen.

2. A good wife has a part-time job, but…
- she doesn't work at night or on weekends.
- she doesn't work too much.
- she doesn't forget to take care of her children.
- she doesn't forget to cook.

3. An ideal teacher gives take-home tests, or…
- he/she doesn't give any tests at all.
- she gives appropriate homework.
- she gives you homework.
- she gives advice about students' lives.


4. Good parents want to raise healthy children, so…
- they don't let them eat too much candy.
- they spend lots of time and money on their children.
- they sport with children on weekends.
- they always give their babies a lot of care and attention.
